Frequently Asked Questions

What location data does VerifEye add to photos?

VerifEye can overlay GPS coordinates, a reverse-geocoded address, a map thumbnail, date and time, altitude, barometric pressure, GPS accuracy, Plus Code, timezone, and a custom note or hashtag. You choose exactly which data appears.

Can I customize how the overlay looks?

Yes. You can choose between a clean strip below the photo or a floating overlay panel. You can also pick which data fields to include, select coordinate formats (decimal, degrees & minutes, DMS, or Plus Codes), and choose date/time formats. You can even add your own logo in any corner.

Does VerifEye upload my photos to the cloud?

No. All processing happens entirely on your device. Your photos and location data never leave your phone. There are no accounts, no sign-ins, and no cloud uploads.

What GPS coordinate formats are supported?

VerifEye supports four formats: decimal degrees (e.g., 10.3186, 123.9057), degrees and decimal minutes, full DMS notation (degrees, minutes, seconds), and Plus Codes for universal location sharing.

Which iPhones are supported?

VerifEye requires an iPhone with GPS capabilities running a supported version of iOS. Multi-lens camera features (ultra-wide, telephoto) are available on models that have those lenses.

How do I add my company logo?

In the overlay settings, you can select an image from your photo library to use as a logo or branding mark. You can position it in any corner of the photo.

Can I organize photos into albums?

Yes. Create albums to keep projects, job sites, or assignments separate. You can browse photos in a gallery grid, multi-select shots, share in bulk, or open any location directly in Apple Maps.

How accurate is the GPS data?

VerifEye uses your iPhone's built-in GPS hardware. Accuracy depends on your environment — typically within a few meters outdoors. The GPS accuracy value is displayed on the overlay so you can verify precision for each shot.
