Privacy Policy

01 Introduction

VerifEye ("the App") is designed with your privacy as a core principle. This policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored. The short version: everything is processed on your device, and the only data that ever leaves it does so through services you choose to enable — optional iCloud sync (iPhone and iPad only), or the map and weather lookups that build the overlay.

02 Data We Access

To function, VerifEye requests access to:

• Camera — to capture photos, videos, and 3D scans.
• Microphone — to record audio when you capture video.
• Location — to obtain GPS coordinates, altitude, and reverse-geocoded addresses for overlay compositing and video track logging.
• Photo Library — to save geotagged captures and to let you select a custom logo image.
• Barometer & motion sensors — to read barometric pressure for the overlay and to drive the gyro-based 360°/3D viewers.

This data is processed on your device. It is not sent to any VerifEye server — the only exceptions are the optional third-party lookups described below (maps and weather) and, on iPhone and iPad, your own private iCloud if you turn on sync.

03 Data We Do NOT Collect

VerifEye does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Advertising identifiers
• Device fingerprints
• Your photos, videos, or scans to any VerifEye-operated server

04 How Your Data Is Stored

Photos, videos, scans, and albums you create within VerifEye are stored locally on your device. If you delete the App, locally stored data is removed.

On iPhone and iPad, cloud sync is an optional feature that is off by default. When you enable it, your library is synced through your own private iCloud Drive (your personal Apple account) so it can be restored after a reinstall. VerifEye operates no servers of its own and never receives a copy of your captures — the data stays between your device and your Apple iCloud account, governed by Apple's privacy terms. The Android version does not include cloud sync; its data stays on the device.

05 Third-Party Services

To build the overlay, VerifEye relies on a few platform and mapping services. Only coordinates and standard request data are sent — never your photos, videos, scans, or identity:

• Apple MapKit — generates live map thumbnails and reverse-geocoded addresses, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Apple WeatherKit — provides the optional weather field in the overlay on all platforms (on Android via the WeatherKit REST API), subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Google Maps Static API — used when you pre-download offline map tiles (and for live maps on Android); the area's coordinates are sent to Google to fetch tiles, subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• App Store / Google Play billing — handles in-app purchases and subscriptions; VerifEye never sees your payment details.

VerifEye does not embed any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

06 Data Sharing

VerifEye does not share your captures with third parties. When you use the share function, you are sharing the composited photo, video, or scan through your device's built-in share sheet — the App itself does not transmit that data anywhere.

07 Children's Privacy

VerifEye does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The App does not require an account, and no personal data is collected from any user.

08 Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
